Kicking-off this year’s outdoor painting classes, we’ll get started with a lesson on acrylics. After a comprehensive introduction to this medium, you’ll have plenty of time to practice painting using this versatile medium using different paper and canvas sizes with a variety of brushes and tools–all while painting outside “en plein air”.

NATURALLY: The Beginner’s Herbarium

However, in this expressive class participants will practice a blend of journaling, creative writing and art to explore the farm's abundance of botanical allies. Each participant will leave with the beginnings of a Materia Medica to further their botanical interests.

DOG DAYS OF SUMMER

It's sure to be hot in August but we’ll make the most of the temperature by using the heat to make uniquely textured creations. Vastly different from painting with acrylics in cold weather, we’ll explore how this medium reacts to hot weather and the fast drying time of acrylics when it's above 80 degrees outside.
