My name is Rebecca Lefebvre. I’m a contemporary biophilic artist and author living in Colorado. I paint and write about nature and its importance to our mental and physical well-being. I'm also an art educator. I teach painting classes at Three Leaf Farm as well as private lessons and workshops to individuals, families and groups.

My paintings use a technique I’ve developed to showcase the best of the materials I use (ink, watercolor, acrylic and pen) and the textural qualities of each surface I paint on–from cold press watercolor paper to natural cotton canvas and wood.

MY GARDEN STUDIO

Tucked between our house and a fence, I converted our shed into my garden studio. Affectionately coined “The Mini Hearth” (which I named after my previous gallery in Lafayette, CO). This little space (6’ x 8’ exactly) is an oasis for creativity. Many hours of painting, writing and thinking have occurred in these four walls. And, pretty soon, I’ll be letting this space to my students too!

MY WORKSHOPS

No matter where I’m teaching (outdoor painting class at Three Leaf Farm, local city workshops, family gatherings, corporate retreats or in my garden studio) I love teaching people how to tap into their creativity. I especially enjoy helping people who feel disconnected from their creativity and fearful of what self-expression might look like, learn how to unburden themselves and embrace their voice.

MY WRITING

I believe each of us are born creative but unfortunately familial and societal norms inform us otherwise. By the end of our formative years, most of us believe we’re not artistic. Left unattested, this idea can permeate many areas of our life; impacting how we perceive ourselves and approach problems. I believe it’s imperative that we debunk this flawed concept of self to regain our courage and find fulfillment in life.
